The A505-S6025 laptop is a fairly powerful laptop. The CPU, GPU, RAM and hard disk are all very impressive. The features are similar to much more expensive laptops.

It has USB 2, HDMI, FireWire and other ports for high utility. It shows videos – and produces the sound – very well. It plays almost all games pretty well, so it has plenty of graphic and computing capability for the general user.

It is however bulky and heavy to carry around with you.

It may be possible to shop around and either save on cost or gain some performance – but it would be very difficult to obtain both advantages.

In reading user reviews we found that there where some serious manufacturing defects on the first thousand or so laptops sold. They have however sorted out their production issues, so you won't have problems with it now. I only mention it so you aren't scared away by those early user reviews.

This laptop isn't high end, it does however deliver good value for the price.

Within this article, it competes most directly with the T115. It has the better specifications, but is priced about 1/3 higher. On the other hand, it shares the honors for “most memory” – at 4GB – with the high-end A505-S6025 laptop.

Unless the A505-S6025’s extra speed is the deciding factor, this A665D-S6096 may hit the sweet spot for price versus performance – where performance include the size of the hard drive and the overall weight.

It does not have an optical drive.

It is rated for 3 hours normal use. I wouldn't consider this a very mobile laptop, because of it's size and reletavily short battery charge.

This laptop PC is thin and light for Toshiba’s Satellite series.

It is well-suited and well-priced for standard computing tasks. With “only” 2GB memory and 250GB on the hard drive, it is not designed for top performance.

Of the laptops in this review, it has the smallest memory (2GB), the smallest hard drive (250GB), and the smallest screen. The price is also the lowest. If price is the determining factor, then the T115D may well be the winner.

It does not have an optical drive.

It is rated for 9 hours normal use.

Yes, but Toshiba isn't the best make of laptop. Try HP. They are very good. I am on my HP G62X Notebook right now. I had it custom built, with a 500 gigabyte hard drive, a 1 gigabyte ATI graphics card, an Intel Core i3 processor at 2.4 gigahertz, eight gigabytes of RAM [a ton for a laptop of this size], and Windows 7 Home Premium. It runs any program and runs everything at a screaming fast speed. But this isn't an HP page is this? Toshiba is a very good brand, and I see some of their computers are like mine, but I think HP beats them.
